Noodle never consider herself as a mediocre student neither did her teacher, friends and family. She was proud of her for exceling academics since childhood. This feels like exaggerating but she would always see her name on top of the board on the result day however as she was promoted to upper grade this was not always the case. This blog takes you to a roller-coaster ride of a student experiencing failure for the first time who was consider as “Academically Gifted Kid” since her childhood.

At an early age being labeled as an academically gifted kid felt like a badge of honor, superior complex, a blank check to successful life and bright future. With great success comes great responsibilities, Noodle was unware about piling up stress to always excel, the unsaid expectation of parents. She was so caught up in this reputation that she consider it as her identity and measured her worthiness and capabilities through her academic performance. If she didn’t met her own expectation she had repetitive thoughts of how she did not deserve the love, care and support from her loved ones.

There was always a relentless pursuit for success which would make her fear the word “FAILURE” so much that even a mere discussion over the word have her shaken up to the core. But there she was experiencing the FAIL in her report for the first time in 20 years of her living. She knew she had chosen a tough course but she was confident enough that she is not going to fail. She was confused yet frustrated and guilty on how is this even happening, is it real?

They say failure is a teacher and experiencing failure will make one certain that no matter what obstacle you may encounter you will always comeback stronger . Failure is inevitable it is bound to be experienced by every individual once in their lifetime. It is suggested to remember that ones worth is beyond your academic performance and setbacks are merely a stepping stones on your journey towards personal and intellectual growth which Noodle has yet to conquer.
